Upgrading $CLV to $LUX

The Official guide for $CLV to $LUX upgrade - everything you need to know

As we transition to Lucent Network, we are excited to introduce a streamlined upgrade from $CLV (ERC20 and BEP20) to the new $LUX (Solana) token on the Lucent SVM chain. This migration is a significant milestone in our evolution, bringing faster performance, seamless interoperability, and a stronger foundation for the next generation of decentralized applications.

This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the 1:1 token migration process using the Lucent Network Bridge.

⚠️ Important Security Reminders & Notes

  • Verify Links: Please be extremely vigilant about scams!

  • Always double-check that you are using the official bridge URL (https://bridge.lucent.network). We strongly recommend typing this URL directly into your browser rather than clicking on links from unverified sources

  • Desktop Only: Please note that currently, the upgrade process can only be completed using the desktop version of the bridge portal. Mobile access is not supported at this time.

  • No Exchange Wallets: You cannot upgrade tokens directly from centralized exchanges (such as Binance, OKX, etc.). You must first withdraw your $CLV to a self-custody wallet (such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, OKX Wallet, etc.) that you control.

✅ Preparation Checklist: Before You Start

Before beginning the upgrade process, please ensure you have the following ready:

  1. Compatible Source Wallet & Browser Extension: Ensure your desktop browser (Chrome strongly recommended) has a compatible wallet extension installed (e.g., MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, OKX Wallet).

  2. Compatible Destination Solana Wallet: Have a Solana-compatible wallet ready (e.g., Phantom, Backpack, Coinbase Wallet), and ensure you have securely backed up your recovery phrase.

  3. $CLV Tokens in Personal Wallet: Your $CLV tokens must be stored in your personal source wallet (on either Ethereum Mainnet or Binance Smart Chain).

  4. Sufficient Gas Fees: Have enough native tokens in your source wallet to cover transaction fees (Gas Fee):

  • If your $CLV is on Ethereum, you'll need ETH.

  • If your $CLV is on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), you'll need BNB.

  • It's recommended to have slightly more than the estimated Gas fee to account for network fluctuations.

  1. Desktop Computer: The entire process must be completed using a desktop or laptop computer.

🔁 Swap Overvie

  • Swap Ratio: 1 $CLV = 1 $LUX (fixed ratio)

  • Supported Source Networks: Ethereum (ERC20), Binance Smart Chain (BEP20)

  • Destination: Lucent SVM (Solana Virtual Machine)

  • Swap Window: Open until May 31, 2026.

  • Token Deprecation: Unswapped $CLV tokens will be deprecated as scheduled after the swap window closes.

STEP 1: Access the Lucent Bridge Portal

  • In your desktop browser, navigate to the official bridge portal: https://bridge.lucent.network

  • Security Check: After the page loads, verify again that the URL in your browser's address bar is exactly correct and note the secure lock icon (HTTPS).

STEP 2: Connect Your Wallet

  • On the bridge page, locate the section for connecting your source wallet (showing Ethereum or BSC logo).

  • Select the blockchain network where your $CLV tokens are held (Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain).

  • Click the "Connect Wallet" button and select your wallet extension.

  • Your installed wallet extension (such as Coinbase Wallet) should automatically pop up.

  • Key Actions:

    • In the wallet popup, ensure you've selected the account holding your $CLV tokens.

    • Critically Important: Check and ensure your wallet is currently switched to the correct network (either Ethereum Mainnet or Binance Smart Chain), which must match the blockchain where your $CLV tokens reside.

    • Click "Next" or "Connect" in the wallet popup to authorize the site to access your wallet address.

  • After successful connection, the bridge page should display your wallet address.

  • Supported wallets include Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, OKX Wallet, and others.

STEP 3: Connect Your Destination Solana Wallet

  • On the bridge page, find the section for connecting your destination wallet (showing the Lucent Network logo).

  • Click the "Connect Wallet" button in this area.

  • Depending on your wallet type, the connection process will vary: browser extension wallets like Phantom will display an authorization popup, while others like Coinbase Wallet may require you to scan a QR code with your mobile app or authorize directly in the browser. Please follow the prompts specific to your selected wallet.

  • As shown, click the "Connect" button in the Phantom wallet popup.

  • After successful connection, your destination wallet address should also appear on the page.

  • Supported wallets include Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, Backpack, and other Solana-compatible wallets.

STEP 4: Enter the Amount of $CLV to Bridge

  • Locate the input field labeled "Send".

  • Enter the amount of $CLV tokens you wish to upgrade to $LUX. Make sure the number doesn't exceed your $CLV balance.

  • The page features a "Max" button, which you can click to automatically fill in your entire $CLV balance.

STEP 5: Approve Token Access

  • Click the “Bridge” button on the page.

  • Your source wallet (such as Coinbase Wallet) will display a transaction confirmation window. This step authorizes the bridge smart contract to access your specified amount of $CLV tokens.

  • Carefully review the popup contents:

    • Confirm it's a "Pre-authorize withdrawal" or "Approve" operation.

    • Check that the authorized token amount is correct.

    • Note the estimated Gas fee (payable in ETH or BNB).

  • If everything is correct, click "Confirm" in your wallet popup.

  • Please be patient: This approval transaction needs to be confirmed on the source network (ETH or BSC), which may take several seconds. The bridge page will typically display a waiting status.

STEP 6: Execute the Swap / Bridge

  • When the approval transaction from Step 5 is successfully confirmed, your source wallet (such as Coinbase Wallet) will display a second transaction confirmation window. This transaction executes the actual token transfer.

  • Review the popup contents again:

    • Confirm it's an "Asset changes (estimate)" or "Transfer" operation involving your specified $CLV amount.

    • Note the estimated Gas fee.

  • If everything is correct, click "Confirm" in your wallet popup.

  • ❗Extremely Important❗: During this transaction processing, please do not refresh the bridge page! Wait patiently until the bridge page displays a success notification or completion status.

  • Processing Time: This transaction's processing time depends on the source network's congestion, typically taking around 10-15 minutes. During this time, the bridge page will continue to display a waiting status.

Step 7: Completion and Confirmation

  • When the entire bridging process is successfully completed, the bridge page will typically display a bridging completion message.

  • Your new $LUX tokens will be sent to the Solana wallet address you connected in Step 3.

Token delivery may take a short while. After the bridge confirms success, please check your Solana wallet; it may take a few minutes for the $LUX tokens to appear.

🔧 Troubleshooting & Additional Considerations

  • Insufficient Gas Fees: If a transaction fails with an insufficient Gas message, ensure your source wallet has more ETH or BNB than the estimated fee, then try again.

  • Managing $CLV on Multiple Networks: If you hold $CLV tokens on both Ethereum and BSC networks, you'll need to completely repeat all the above steps separately for each network (starting with connecting the wallet to the corresponding network).

  • Transaction "Processing" for Extended Time: If a transaction (especially in Step 6) shows as successful in the blockchain explorer but the bridge page shows no response for an extended period, try waiting longer. If it's been over 30 minutes or the explorer shows a failure, please take a screenshot and contact official support. Do not repeatedly attempt to initiate new transactions when uncertain.

  • Bridge Page Freezing / Unresponsive: If the website interface experiences issues, try forcing a page refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R) or clearing your browser cache before retrying. If problems persist, contact official support.
